This was one of those books that I pick up thinking "I'll just read a few chapters before bed, ' and end up staying up til 3am to finish it. I'm telling you, I could not put this book down. From the minute Olive opened her mouth and told Carter that they were now best friends for life, I was hooked. Olive was adorable and precocious without being annoying. Carter was the perfect alpha...sweet, loving and protective. Elijah was dealt a crappy hand but he worked hard to make a good life for himself and Olive. Carter and Elijah's relationship moved fast, really fast, but it was good that it did. I loved Elijah's big huge family and though I thought I'd hate Carter's family, I ended up loving them too. I especially loved Aunt Anne. She was fierce. I wanted to stand up and cheer when she blasted Elijah's sperm donor. I'm so excited that I found this author and can't wait to jump into the next book. Such a lovely story. The story has a light hearted feel throughout it's entirety, and the family drama with Elijah's nasty parents is solved satisfactorily.Elijah is a single Omega with a lovely daughter and they live on a farm in Maine. Most of the town accepts him, but there is a small faction that call him names and gossip about him behind his back.Carter is an Alpha from Georgia who was injured serving his country and has a missing limb and facial burns/scars who becomes a plumber and relocated to Maine to get away from his family.The two men meet and fall into Alpha/Omega love. The rest of the book is all about the blending of their personalities, families, friends and working together to solve problems. A wonderful happy ending.5 stars! It is well written and flows nicely from beginning to end. A definite pick me up story!
